Enjoy a week with your friends and family at a charming 1895 Victorian house in the historic district of Cambridge, in Dorchester County, on Maryland's scenic Eastern Shore. The house is located just three blocks from the city marina on the Choptank River.

Walk or bike to the historic shopping district, enjoying the many fine examples of turn-of-the-century architecture along the way. Take a picnic to the nearby playground/park on the river. Sit on the porch swing while you slow down from your busy life.

Sample the excellent seafood restaurants in town. Or eat in, preparing a meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Cambridge cottage has a Victorian dining room that easily seats ten; it will enable you to bring back memories of the days of sit-down dining and good conversation. Early risers can read the paper over coffee and breakfast in the cozy sunroom. The first floor great room provides a relaxing atmosphere in which to socialize, read a good book in front of the fireplace, and play board games or cards.

Furnished for your relaxation, this comfortable, rambling house has three bedrooms on the second floor. There is a master bedroom with a king-size bed, and two bedrooms each with a queen-size bed. One bathroom has a walk in shower and a whirlpool bathtub. The other second floor bathroom has clawfoot tub. On the first floor, next to the great room is another full bath with a walk-in shower.

Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, icemaker. Recreation area on third floor with Foosball, Cable TV w/DVD, and cable hookup to the internet.

* Fenced yard with picnic table; dogs considered w/$100 fee.

Surrounding Area

Close to historic shopping district, playground/park, Blackwater National Wildlife refuge (home to the second largest population of bald eagles on the East Coast and many species of waterfowl). Museums and historic sites abound in Dorchester and there is a self-guided walking tour of Cambridge's historic district. A map of bicycle trails with guide both casual and experienced riders over Dorchester's more that 500 miles of flat, scenic country roads. Easy access to public boat ramps enables visitors to enjoy boating, kayaking, sailing and fishing. Fishing enthusiasts will enjoy the nearby pier across the Choptank River.
