Jost Van Dyke has a colorful history, in that it is said to
be named after an early Dutch settler, who was formerly a
pirate. This friendly island has under 200 inhabitants
and measures only 4 miles by 3 with the highest point being
1,054 feet.
Jost Van Dyke has safe protected anchorages and inviting
unspoilt beaches at Great Harbour, Little Harbour and White
Bay. Even though small in size the island still offers
wonderful restaurants, bars and small shops selling local
treasures.
