The Lance Manor is a beautiful, small, tastefully restored medieval castle built during the 1500s. It is like a fortress that used to guard the villages in the area. The Manor Castle sits on a hill and is surrounded by miles of woodland where you can enjoy long walks and is only 700 metres from the village of Lanciole. The whole area is a patchwork of medieval hilltop villages, which are worth a visit.

In the Manor Castle are two independent self catering rental cottages: The Fairy and The Elf. Altogether there are 3 bathrooms, two kitchens, two sitting rooms, a private pool and external Jacuzzi.

Lanciole, though tiny, has a bar/pizzeria which also sells a few basic foodstuffs. In ancient times, the village was known to have produced "lancia" or spears and other arms. The area makes a good base for touring being within easy driving distance to many famous places including Lucca, Pisa, Pistoia and Florence.

Amenities Inside

Kitchen, sitting room, DVD/VCR, stereo, laundry. Services offered are: Weekly cleaning, bed linens, bath towels, kitchen linen, a welcome pack (olive oil, sugar, salt, milk, pasta, a bowl of fruit, a bottle of red Chianti wine), all included in price.
The owner will also greet you on your arrival to welcome you to the Manor and show you around your new home.

Surrounding Area

The village of Lanciole is only 700 metres away. Tennis, skiing, dining and shopping nearby. Museum, 15 min. by car. Golf club 20km away. Horseback riding 10 minutes away. Public transportation available.

The area makes a good base for touring being within easy driving distance to many famous places, including Lucca, Pisa, Pistoia and Florence.
